Frequently asked questions

How far in advance should I book?

Booking with Midtown is a very smooth and easy process. In order for us to best prepare for your move, we encourage at-least a week in advance notice. However, we can do the best we can on short notice. You will get 24/7 customer support in order to achieve the best results on moving day!

What payment methods do you take?

We accept all debit and credit cards. All cards will have a 4% up-charge as a processing fee. Taking payment will be done at the end of the move.

Is Midtown Moving Licensed, Bonded, and Insured?

Midtown Moving is fully licensed, bonded, and insured to move all through the state. If you would like to request proof before your move please call our office and we will send over the appropriate documents to you.

Do I need to empty out my furniture?

Items like dressers, nightstands, cabinets, etc. do not need to be emptied out. As long as the contents are not breakable. Things like clothes can definitely stay in.

What is a Valuable Item?

These are any item that is considered priceless to the customer. An antique, family heirloom, or any item that exceeds $100 per pound. These items are considered to be extremely high in value and our movers in atlanta need to know about it. Our crews should come with a high value inventory sheet that has been filled out prior to the move to keep us all on the same page. That said item will be placed in a specific area of the truck with extra care. Valuable items have the option of being crated. Please view our Valuable Item service page for more information.

When do you start?

We like to start our moves at 9:00Am. This allows for our men to get to the office early and get the paperwork/truck ready. However, we can start at any time that you need us to.

Is there a booking process?

Yes, after your quote has been accepted, we will add you to our schedule. There is a $100 deposit in order to secure your spot on the schedule. This is nonrefundable if you are to cancel, but it will be deducted at the end of your move. The day you book, you will get an email with an order for service form and moving guide attached. The service form has all the details for your move as well as all the potential charges. The moving guide is required by the Georgia Department of Public Safety and is where you can learn how to better prepare for your move.

Does Midtown Moving come Covid safe?

We do not require our men to wear masks or gloves while working. This is considered hindering their breathing. However, if the customer requests, then we will make sure to wear them.

Is there an hourly minimum?

We have a 2-hour minimum for moves that take place on weekdays (Monday-Friday), and a 3-hour minimum for weekend moves. If the move goes below 3 hours, you will still be charged for 3 full hours.

Do you disconnect appliances?

Midtown Moving does NOT disconnect any appliances. This includes washers, dryers, refrigerators, etc. Please try to have them disconnected before the arrival of our crew. With every move, however, we offer free assembly and disassembly of all items including beds, cribs, couches, etc.

What if I need to reschedule?

If you have already paid a deposit and need to reschedule, we can make sure we get you taken care of on any day that best suits you!
